Prayer as Worship

Dear Alliance Family,

Welcome to 40 Days of Prayer 2023, and thanks for joining us as we seek the Lord together! This year, we will be following the flow of the Lord’s Prayer. You know how it starts: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name” (Matt. 6:9). What an appropriate place to begin our prayer journey—worshiping the Lord because of His holiness.

We worship One who is perfectly holy. Our Lord is without flaw, imperfection, or sin. Every other attribute He manifests, every work He undertakes, is all marked by His perfect holiness. Our God is unmatched. There is no one like Him. No one else can legitimately lay claim to perfect holiness—only our God, in His Triune expression, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is abundantly worthy of all the worship we could ever bring. May this first week of the new year be filled with the worship and praise of our Lord.
